Have you given 2024 much thought?

Let's take a moment to reflect on 2024. How did the year unfold? Did you stick with your New Year Resolutions and achieve your goals or face unexpected challenges? What were your biggest highlights and low points?

By taking a look back, we can gain valuable insights into our lives, like what do you want to change or improve? What did you learn about yourself? What are you grateful for? 

Try this simple reflection exercise: Close your eyes and visualize each month starting in January. What were your highlights? Your low points? What did you learn from both?

This exercise can help you identify patterns and areas for growth and also show you what you are capable of accomplishing.

Use these reflections to set intentions for 2025. How will you grow next year? What steps will you take to make it happen?

What does physical activity have to do with self-reflection?

Physical activities can be a useful tool to aid in self-reflection.

Activities like Yoga, Qi-Gong, and Tai Chi are excellent practices that connect you to a "flow state" through a series of slow movements and breathwork, bringing you to a mindful way of being.

Other activities like walking, hiking, and leisurely biking in nature can do the same. 

Nature has a way of de-cluttering and calming the mind, leading us to greater self-awareness, clarity, and deeper insights.

When we can achieve clarity, we have access to our truest thoughts and feelings, making self-reflection easier.

Remember, the key to using these activities for self-reflection is to be present and mindful.

Turn off your device, get into nature and get into action!

Embrace soulful self-reflection through journaling.

Taking reflection a notch higher through journaling could be one of the best thing you can do for a successful 2025.

Honestly reflect back on highlights and low points of 2024. 

  • Write down your deepest thoughts, feelings,concerns and experiences for this year.
  • Include your wins (big or small), any challenges, and lessons learned. record any changes you want to improve.
  • Note any unfinished business, distractions, grudges, or resentments
  • Next jot down a plan to finish outstanding tasks, make a list of ways that you can reduce or remove distractions, and list all the people or experiences you can forgive moving into 2025.
  • Make a list of any new things you'd like to experience, learn or accomplish in the New Year. 

Doing this provides an honest overview of accomplishments to celebrate, areas for improvement, as well as a comprehensive list of goals you can set for 2025,
